!997 Dark Bay gelding by the legendary Irish show jumping horse Crusing (second in 1he 1999 wold championships and winner of many international Gran Prixs), full sister to Sail Rain(winner of the Derby at Berne Switzerland in1998) , half brother to Flexible (second place in the 2008 World championships.) Reigning star had very successful jumping careers in Ireland and England before coming to America. He is now in Oregon and trained and ridden by Rich Fellers who in April 2008 took second place in the World Championships on Reigning Star's half brother Flexible.
Reigning Star competed at the 2008 Desert Circut Series in Thermal California where he had the following finishes in level 5 and 6 classea: 3 first places, 3 second places, 2 third places 1 fourth place, one eighth place.. These efforts won him the level 6 Championship for Desert Circut IV , The Reserve Champinship for Desert Circut V, The level 6 Championship for the Second Half of the Circut, and the Leve 5 Reserve Championship for the Second Half of the Circut.
