: This wonderful 16 month old Registered Filly is ready to go and git er' done........."Sweet Buttermilk Imagine That" is a gorgeous filly.
Those golden dapples are starting to show, that Palomino is finally coming-out.
She should be a "Golden" or a little darker,,, not sure if she will be "Chocolate" or not, she changes colors constantly. At this time, she is starting
to darken (again) around the eyes, up her legs, but her muzzle has always been very dark, her body color is in some places dark golden and
than there are some light golden areas here and there.
She is a Registered "One Half American Saddlebred" and a "Registered Palomino". Buttermilk has a quarter "Clydesdale" in her and maybe
one quarter" Quarter Horse"; (I can't prove the QH by DNA, but, by her Dam's transfer papers from Canada and Oregon reads her Dam is half "Clydesdale"
and half "Quarterhorse").
All Vaccines, Worming and Trimming are UTD.
"Buttermilk" is a smart, gorgeous Yearling turning into a fine 2 yr. old. She has wonderful conformation, nice back, strong legs and hooves, (one left Club foot, Ferrier said shouldn't be any problems with lamness, she has never been lame on it. Not a serious Club foot).
She is big boned with smooth floating gaits, has a wonderful personality.... a head-turner for sure. Very easy going most of the time, but has that wonderful
Saddlebred spirit.
She loves human contact and is always trying to help-out when cleaning is being done;). She leads great, backs-up very well, (with or without the lead),
head always up and so willing to get going. Picks up her feet (testy at times) to be picked and or trimmed.
I've been working with her, since she was 3 days old, starting with a light hand, and soft whispers. Now she moves, one light touch and she will move
accordingly from soft pressure. I'm teaching her how to side-step a little now (front, middle and rear). She is definitely a very quick learner when
put in her place when asking for respect from her.
Buttermilk has loaded in a trailer many times and does great even after a few months not seeing the inside of a trailer.
She has also experienced Ferrier's trim, bathes, walks in water etc. I've done a lot of "Sacking-Out" with her, walking over tarps, towels over her
head and being lead when she can't see, lead rope wrapped around her legs, plastic bags being waved around, and at times she picks the bags up and
shakes them around herself. She loves having the running cordless drill up against her. I gave her a wonderful massage with it.
She learns very fast, sooner then later,, that is. She is full of spirit, holds her head high and really isn't afraid of anything (I haven't found out
what that is yet), though she is cautious, but is very curious, she is a very proud young filly. When working with her she has the desire to please and
is always curious what is going to be next, but still, likes to test and take her time with the learning experiences we go through together.
She already stands 15.0H at a year +-old and is approx. 645 lbs and going to be tall approx. 16H+ when full grown. She has dapples of golden brown here and there with a thick white mane and forelock, and a white with light golden brown in her beautiful tail.
Buttermilk is a very easy keeper. Her Registered Sire a "Registered American Saddlebred" was (has now passed on) a beautiful "Creamello", his name
was "Seas the Golden Day" 16H+. He has produced many offspring that are registered also.
Buttermilk's Bay Dam (Shyla) is one half Clydesdale and one half
Quarterhorse and stands 15.3H.
At this time, Buttermilk has been weaned, and pastured with other horses, she is now with a Gelding and her Mother and is doing great. They don't have any problems being separated in different pastures.
I can see Buttermilk has a lot of potential in any Class you choose. She should be in some Equine Show classes, Jumping, Endurance,
Dressage etc, she will prove to you how good she really is. I think also she would make a excellent trail buddy, but, I would really love to
see her shown though, she has that potential and desire to win.
If interested, I can e-mail you with more pictures and info. I would love to keep her but I have her "Green" Dam that still needs alot of training and I don't have time to train two horses.
Buttermilk needs a better home that someone can put more time in her and give her more challenges to go up against. Price for her has lowered extremely and is firm.
Please, serious enquiries only. Very good home required!
