| Horse Details
|
: "Xoca" is a fine Peruvian Paso mare who turned four on June 1, 2005. She's dark bay, like rich chocolate--which is how she got her name. Xocolatl is an Aztec word meaning "a chocolate drink." This gal is one sweet drink of hot chocolate.
Just about fourteen hands high, Xoca is fully trained in the bit and a fun trail and pleasure horse with plenty of trail miles. She's a good horse for almost any rider and easy to handle on the ground. A beginner could handle this horse if they had some experience. She hasn't been around children, but I bet older children would be fine with her IF they've had lessons and realize how sensitive and light mouthed Peruvians are.
Xoca has fine, old bloodlines. On her father's side, she is the only female offspring of Capoeira BSN, in the United States. Capoeira BSN, a multiple Champion of Champions Performance stallion and Laureado Grand Champion of The Great American-Peruvian Race, was purchased by a major Australian breeder where he is a foundation sire. Capo's father is the legendary *RYR Galileo, 1989 Champion of Champions Breeding Stallion of Peru and one of the most heralded stallions in the breed. Capoeira's dam is by a direct son of Sol de Oro V, and out of a full sister to *Mantequilla.
Xoca's mother came from the AAG Ranch. Her background includes *Piloto, Uxmal (reputedly one of the strongest horses in the breed), *Burlador, Carnaval, and Huando. Gabriela was winner in the breeding and gait divisions, as well as placing many times in the performance division. Xoca comes from exceptionally strong, old bloodlines.
