| :We purchased this American Beauty from BLM about two years ago. She was healthy and so were we. Shortly after; Gypsy caught her head in a gate and we really thought we were going to lose her. True to her Spirit however; she recovered. Gyps plays in the pasture, running, rearing and bucking like any other horse at play. She shows no signs of any problems. Just the same; I believe she would need special consideration when being broken. Gyps was coming around beautifully and allowing me to handle her all over, would come when called, craved attention. A real sweetheart in the making. Then I became ill and was unable to work with her. Somewhere in there; either a workman in the barn or someone has done something and she has become aggressive when being fed. She has not shown any aggression at any other time .. but something has changed. I am spending what time I can with her and she is coming back around to me but she is definitely not the same. I am not able to do for Gypsy what needs to be done. Gypsy is smart as a whip and truly beautiful.
She needs a good home where she can either roam free as a brood mare or with someone who has the time, patience and care to work with her taking her potential problems into consideration. She does not load, stand for the farrier, bathe or doing anything else along that line. She's still very wild; but Gypsy is a good girl with a real desire to please and she loves to be loved. Foal date is estimated. Some of the pics show her with a halter but she doesn't have it on any more and I haven't tried to put another on her. We reserve the right to approve her new home.
